World of Krater

Krater is another world, a world of magic and monsters, where creatures from myth and the distant past are come to life. It is also a world of science and discovery, where new machines and weapons have lead to an age of expansion and new deadlier wars. It is a world that is very different from our own, yet it is a world that is eerily familiar. The continents and the oceans are the same, but the people and the history are changed by the ebb and flow of magic into and out of the world. The Holy Roman empire has never fallen, but neither has it spread as far as it could have. The powers of faith and the priests also grew here, but it was the power of all faiths and so the religious wars are still as rampant and even more violent for each sides leaders being truly able to call upon power of their deities. There are other powerful empires that have risen to dominance across the ocean on the continents that are the origin point of magic coming back into the world. On the southern continent the Inca rule in savage splendor, with their blood priests and zombie armies they have crushed and absorbed all smaller kingdoms and city-states. In the northern continent is an alliance of two powerful nations, the Cahokia and the Aniyunwiya are in alliance against the threat from the Norsevegr invaders and their colony of Newfoundland, dragons and monsters in the west and the threat from the south in the Aztec empire.
